Is organic fertilizer, or tradition fertilizer, a preferable option during summer’s hot, dry conditions?

Organics are a gentler option during the hot, dry summer months. Traditional fertilizer will add additional stress to an already stressed lawn this time of the year. You will also run the risk of burning your lawn by applying too much fertilizer during these hot, east coast months.

Jonathan Green’s Organic Lawn Fertilizer is formulated to help rejuvenate your tired lawn with a slow, gentle feeding, and there is perfectly suited for summer’s hot and dry conditions. In non-extreme temperatures, a lawn will start to show the effects of this product in about 2-3 weeks. However, in the very hot, dry conditions like we’ve been experiencing, it will be a bit slower to release due to the extra stresses mother nature is currently putting on the lawn. Organic Lawn Fertilizer also has the additional benefit of promote a healthy, thick dark-green turf over time by working with the soil. It contains amino acids and humates to restore soil life, and feather, bone and blood meals to grow a healthy lawn.

One more thought – have you used Love Your Soil? Love Your Soil is another great summer product. It stimulates soil microbes and creates a biologically healthy soil.  This soil food helps to loosen heavy, hard packed soils, and releases trapped nutrients, helping to green the lawn. Your lawn soil will become more alive and porous allowing water, air and grass roots to enter the soil more easily, increases the grasses’ resistance to drought and alleviate summer stress.

You can grow better, greener turf by creating better soil – so remember to feed your lawn and your soil!
