Dallisgrass

Dallisgrass
Dallisgrass is a very aggressive perennial grassy weed often mistaken as crabgrass.  Dallisgrass has seed heads that grow quickly and have three to seven unpaired heads on the stem. Crabgrass has hairy blades while dallisgrass blades are coarse. Treat with a non-selective spray to control it. It generally requires two applications, 21 days apart. We have seen more of this in the Northeast post superstorm Sandy.
