Grub Damage
Does the grass pull up easily? Does the grass pull back like pulling back a sheet? The brown spots in your lawn may be grub damage. The grass is being eaten from the roots. Apply a preventative treatment of Grub and Insect Control at the end of June. Apply a curative treatment through August. After August, the grub is too far into its life cycle for Grub and Insect Control to work because it kills larvae and you must use an insecticide with Dylox to kill mature grubs.
