I noticed the warning label says not to be used for horse pastures or livestock grazing. My dog eats the grass. Is there a safety issue with this product for animals consumption. Is it Organic and chemical free?

Tall fescue and Perennial Ryegrass contain a beneficial fungus called endophytes which make it taste bad to insects. Grazing animals who are in pastureland for their main food source should not eat it because it can cause problems with their nervous systems. Dog, cats, etc, do not eat enough of it to cause problems. I have a dog and a cat and they both eat the grass with no issues.

The seed is not grown organically. When it is growing in the production fields, it is fertilized and treated with herbicides or pesticides as needed. Once harvested, the seed is not coated or treated with anything.
